📢 Today, Friday, 2️⃣3️⃣ August at 6:00 PM, the official opening of the Nordic Walking World Championships Bełchatów 2024 will take place at Hala Energia (Dąbrowskiego 11a)! 🎉 And at 5:00 PM, we’ll start with the flag parade from Dąbrowskiego Street near Okrzei Street.

🎙 The opening ceremony will feature a performance by the youngest finalist of "The Voice Kids" Tatiana Kopala and an energetic violin show led by Izzy Violin - Iza Matuszewska from the Łódź Philharmonic. Join us to make sure you don’t miss any of the excitement!

📅 **Competition Schedule:**

**Friday, 23 August 2024:**
- 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM – Athlete accreditation office open
- 5:00 PM – Start of the flag parade (Dąbrowskiego/Okrzei)
- 6:00 PM – Opening Ceremony: welcoming athletes from around the world, flag parade, oath-taking of the judges

**Saturday, 24 August 2024:**
- 8:00 AM - 12:30 PM – Athlete accreditation office open
- 10:00 AM – 10 km elimination rounds
- 12:00 PM – 5 km elimination rounds
- 2:00 PM – Announcement of elimination results

**Sunday, 25 August 2024:**
- 7:00 AM - 12:30 PM – Athlete accreditation office open
- 8:00 AM – Start of the 21 km race
- 9:00 AM – Start of the 10 km race
- 11:00 AM – Start of the 5 km race
- 1:00 PM – Announcement of race results
- 2:00 PM – Award ceremony: 21 km, 10 km, 5 km distances
- 4:00 PM – Closing Ceremony of the Championships

🚩 **Pole Verification:**
A reminder that **pole verification is mandatory** before each race! Please report to the judges to have your equipment checked.

We have arranged free transfers for participants on the routes between Bełchatów, Wawrzkowizna, and Słok-Hotel Wodnik:

**Friday, 23 August:**

- 8:00 PM – Hala Energia Bełchatów → Wawrzkowizna, Hotel Wodnik

**Saturday, 24 August:**
- 8:00 AM – Hotel Wodnik, Wawrzkowizna → PCS Bełchatów (Czapliniecka 96)
- 2:30 PM – PCS Bełchatów → Wawrzkowizna, Hotel Wodnik

**Sunday, 25 August:**
- 6:30 AM – Hotel Wodnik, Wawrzkowizna → PCS Bełchatów (we recommend that all participants use this transfer, regardless of distance)
- 7:30 AM – Hotel Wodnik, Wawrzkowizna → PCS Bełchatów
- 5:00 PM – PCS Bełchatów → Wawrzkowizna, Hotel Wodnik

🎪 **Event Village:**
Join us at the event village for:

- Partner zones
- Inflatable attractions for kids
- Artistic performances
- Mobile coffee shop and ice cream
- Gastronomic zone

On Saturday, don’t miss the **associations’ picnic**, where Marko Kantaneva will demonstrate proper walking technique, followed by a training session led by the president of non-Olympic sports. The day will conclude with a disco party!

On Sunday, while waiting for the race results, you’ll be entertained by the **dance group "Niezapominajki"** from the **"Senior Academy" project** organized by the Bełchatów Municipal Social Welfare Center (MOPS) for the residents of Bełchatów. The project and dance group are coordinated by Mirosława Ciesielska. "Niezapominajki" will present the following dance routines:

- Bailando Bachata
- La Bomba
- Shalalalala
- Jerusalema – group dance with participants (dance instruction)
- Belgijka – group dance with participants (dance instruction)
- Always Remember – group dance with participants (participants show their version)
- Mare e Lumea

After the competitions, we invite you to the **harvest festival in Anastazów** – full of concerts and attractions for the whole family.
