Nordic Walking in the rehabilitation of Parkinson's disease

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disease of old age for which no effective cure has been invented to date. In addition to the pharmacotherapy used, exercise therapy, including Nordic Walking (NW) training, is increasingly supplementing treatment. After a six-week improvement period, significant improvements in the patients' motor function and gait parameters can be seen.
