THE EFFECT OF NORDIC WALKING ON THE FUNCTION OF THE VENOUS SYSTEM OF THE LOWER LIMBS IN FEMALE STUDENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF THE THIRD AGE
28 Mar 2025
The study attempted to answer questions about the effect of Nordic Walking on the lower limb muscle pump and the time of filling the veins with blood, and to investigate whether there are significant differences in the discussed parameters in Nordic Walking trainees compared to non-trainees. The study included a group of 30 women (mean age 61.6 years). The study group consisted of 15 women from the University of the Third Age at the University of Wroclaw, training Nordic Walking. The 15-member control group, on the other hand, consisted of women working chronically in a sedentary position, in administration, and not engaging in physical activity. The results of the study indicate existing differences in the picture of the dynamics of blood outflow from the lower limbs of women training and not training Nordic Walking, speaking in favor of the physically active group.
