Coming to exercise later in life, after a 40 year career in Nursing, Joanne learned to Nordic Walk 7 years ago and was so impressed by its benefits for people of all fitness levels she decided to become an instructor in Nordic & fitness walking (YMCA Level 2) in 2017. She is amazed at the huge benefits not only for herself but for anyone of any fitness level or age. Since setting up Nordic fitness Ireland in 2018 she has taught over 600 people to use Nordic poles along with her husband and co founder Tony.
