Based on the available literature, the authors have tried to present studies that enable the reader to learn about the impact of various activities on the aging process. The 21st century, through the progress achieved, for example, in such fields as biomedical sciences, gerontology or geriatrics, offers great hopes for the elderly. At the same time, research in these fields makes it clear that the aging process is inevitable, and how long a person lives is determined not only by biological factors, but also by environmental factors and lifestyle. In addition, a positive attitude to the inevitable aging process will allow an individual to significantly extend his or her life, and at the same time increase the quality of life.
