Research. Effects of research on Nordic Walking
31 Jul 2024
According to research, Nordic Walking, in opposition to normal walking, improves exercise capacity in men and women of all ages and health status. Nordic, even while walking more slowly than walking without poles, improves and keeps the respiratory and circulatory systems in amazingly good shape. Nevertheless, usually Nordic Walking is more strenuous than we think. For this reason, the use of heart rate monitors during exercise is advisable, if only for those with a tendency to overtrain themselves. Nordic Walking has a beneficial effect, first of all, on the general level of endurance and on the endurance of the muscles themselves, in addition, it also has a positive effect on the mood. To improve muscle strength, a higher intensity exercise is required - climbing uphill. Regular practice of Nordic reduces neck and shoulder problems and can be used for rehabilitation as a safe form of exercise. So far, no research results on the effects of Nordic Walking on coordination and motor skills are available. Based on the results of the tests so far, Nordic Walking can be highly recommended for people of all health and fitness levels, not only by its positive effects, but also, because of the safety and enjoyment that go along with it.
