The true face of Nordic Walking
31 Jul 2024
Nordic Walking is a more extensive form of walking where the arms are also used to push oneself, and in Nordic walking the movements of the arms, feet, hips and the whole body are similar to those of brisk walking. In Nordic Walking the opposite and alternating movements of the arms and legs, which are rhythmically swept back and forth, are the same as in normal walking, but here they are much more intensive. It is very important to learn the correct rhythm and sway when performing Nordic movements from the very beginning in order to ensure the best training effect. The amplitude of arm movements to one side and to the other also determines the length of leg movement. Low-amplitude arm movements affect the limited movement of the hips and lower limbs.
